❏ geisha dreams// kimono trend

inspired by some festival hippie outfits i must admit this piece made it to my closet already last year without me even realizing that there is a real trend going on, the kimono craze. 

traditionally the kimono is a t-shaped, straight-lined robe falling to the ankle, with attached collars, long, wide sleeves and normally wrapped around the body, secured by a sash. however as you can see below, the modern version comes in all different lengths and styles, mostly without belt.

i bought mine on a trip to bali, and (yes!) already while buying it, i was afraid that it will get one of these holiday souvenirs never leaving the closet again. but eventually i found some easy ways to wear it and especially in berlin with its many open airs, it's the perfect piece to complete your summer festival outfit.

...this hilarious wrap up of all the brands mentioned in sex and the city (and i really ask myself who has time for checking this???). i am curious how long you can make it through this (more than nine minutes long) video, which almost produced a product placement overload in my head (next to a flashback about how i loved this show and the inspiring outfits of Carrie ;-)).

coucou everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!

i must admit, it’s been a while since you heard from me!

as you can imagine (since i moved to berlin in february) i was more busy with finding an appartment, adapting to a new job role, exploring the city & making new friends then keeping my blog updated. 
however, since i really missed this project (and some of my lovely friends did too :-)), i did some technical changes which will hopefully help me to keep you updated on a more regular basis.
