Today is the last chance
to visit the David Bowie exhibition in Martin-Gropius-Bau. It is a
retrospective of Bowie’s extraordinary career, especially exploring the sources
of his inspiration and the broad range of collaborations with various artists
from completely different fields. The exhibition consists of around 300
objects, most of them album artworks, handwritten lyrics & letters,
costumes, photography and music videos.
My favorite section was the last room, entirely dedicated to Bowie’s time in Berlin. Together with Iggy Pop he lived in Hauptstraße 155 in Berlin Schöneberg from 1976-1978. Probably inspired by the past as well as the vibrant subculture of the German capital in the 70's, at this time Bowie produced the so-called “Berlin Trilogy”, including the albums "Low", "Lodger" and "Heroes".

Make sure to get some
headphones before entering! This will not only help to get the full musical
experience (as the headphones automatically play the music belonging to the
shown object) but also to get not too distracted of the masses of visitors
around you.
